Michelle Bennett charges 50 pence per mile for return travel from her home address of Taverham Norwich. Calculated by Google Maps. Travel expenses are not included in any quotations unless otherwise stated.
Michelle Bennett does require a minimum booking of a bride plus 3 for Saturday Weddings in peak season (1st April – 1st October) and Bank Holiday weekends including BH Fridays, BH Sundays and BH Mondays. For Fridays and Sundays in peak season (1st April – 1st October) there is a minimum booking of a Bride plus 2. Therefore if your booking decreases, taking you, the client below the minimum requirement Michelle Bennett will still have to charge you, the client at the minimum rate.
Please be aware Wedding Trial appointments will be available from MONDAY to FRIDAY as Michelle is fully booked with weddings on weekends. Weekend appointments are very rare and would need to be discussed with Michelle BEFORE committing to the booking to save any disappointment and you may incur an additional charge.
A Non refundable £80.00 deposit will be needed upon request which will confirm your event / wedding date in Michelle Bennett’s diary and also covers the costs of the wedding make up trial in advance. If you fail to pay the £80.00 deposit when requested, Michelle Bennett will have no obligation to hold your wedding date for you. The £80 deposit will be deducted off your final balance.
Once the clients £80 Non refundable deposit has been received by Michelle Bennett. A written confirmation will be sent out to you, the client, via email. Detailing everything we (the Client and Michelle Bennett) have discussed including the date of your event / wedding, how many people will be requiring make up, fees already paid and outstanding balances etc. Once you, the client has read over these details and are happy to go ahead with the agreement then Michelle Bennett would ask you to print your name, sign and date said form and return it back to Michelle Bennett. Without receiving this signed confirmation / contract your wedding date / event date can not be held and therefore Michelle Bennett can void the confirmation / contract at any point.
If for any reason you, the client need to cancel Michelle Bennett’s services within 90 days of your event / wedding. You, the client will incur a sum amounting to 50% of the booking total and will be payable by you, the client.
If you, the client need to cancel Michelle Bennett’s services within 30 days of your event / wedding, a sum amounting to 75% of the booking total will be payable by you, the client.
If you, the client need to cancel Michelle Bennett’s services within 14 days of your wedding date, a sum amounting to 100% of the booking total will be payable by you, the client. This includes cancellation due to self isolation due to Covid 19 and/or contracting Covid 19 yourself or your bridal party, suppliers or venue. In addition to any periods of cancellation and/or breach of this agreement, you, the client will take full responsibility of all costs, expenses, cancellation fees, legal fees and liabilities. This includes liabilities Michelle Bennett has incurred with any third party which is committed and which can not be mitigated or negotiated separately with the third party, this includes third party additional make up artists which Michelle Bennett may have sourced for the event. Any cancellation must be notified to Michelle Bennett in writing by email or by post.
Cancellations due to Force Majeure
After receipt of the deposit, If you, the client elects to cancel Michelle Bennett Make Up Artist services, in full or in part, whether before or after the signature of this contract (including cancelling the contract and or the event due to a Force Majeure Event) Michelle Bennett shall be entitled to keep the non refundable £80 deposit paid by the client for all time incurred by the provision of the services. In addition to the time spent by Michelle Bennett, Michelle Bennett shall be entitled to recover from the client any costs and liabilities she has incurred with any third party which is committed and which can not be mitigated or negotiated separately with the third party this includes third party additional make up artists which michelle bennett may have sourced for the event / wedding.
Postponement due to Force Majeure
After receipt of the deposit, If you, the client elects to postpone Michelle Bennett’s services, whether before or after the signature of this contract (Including postponing the event due to a Force Majeure Event) Michelle Bennett will endeavour to swap your deposit / contract to your new postponed date, subject to Michelle Bennett’s availability. You, the client will not incur any additional charges for the initial swap of date only. In addition to this please be aware of an annual price increase which may occur depending on your new date, year requested. These rates will be discussed with the client before postponing takes place and details, including rates and new confirmed dates will be agreed in a new contract with the client. However if you, the client decides to cancel. Then Michelle Bennett will refer back to “Cancellations due to Force Majeure”. In addition to postponing, if you, the client request to postpone Michelle Bennett’s services any subsequent times, after the first initial postponement, you will incur a £80 set fee for every, new, date thereafter. The £80 set fee is calculated using rates in force at the date on the provisions of service.
If Michelle Bennett can not accommodate the clients postponed date due to Michelle Bennett’s availability. Michelle Bennett will refer the client back to “Cancellations due to Force Majeure”.
The full remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date and can be paid by Bank Transfer, cash or cheque. If paying by cheque this must be cleared at least one week before the wedding date. Alternatively the remainder of the balance can be paid in cash on the wedding day only when agreed with Michelle Bennett before hand.
